Ray Mirza

Ray Mirza is the Global Head of IT Restructuring at AIG.  He has been at AIG for over 10 years and, in his current role, he is driving the IT function of 14,000 people and $2+ billion in budget to deliver technological capabilities in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible across people, process and platforms.  Prior to this, he held a number of senior roles across the company. Most recently, he served as Chief Procurement Officer, leading the Global Sourcing and Procurement function in Finance. Ray and his team played a crucial role in the achievement of AIG’s financial commitments in 2016. Ray’s other AIG roles include Senior Vice President of Operations for the Americas as well as Head of the Strategic Planning group for AIG Global Operations and Systems.  In the latter role he headed up one of the largest divestiture and restructuring programs that led to the sale and separation of over 40 businesses and the garnering of $53 billion in proceeds. 

Prior to joining AIG, Ray served as General Partner with East River Ventures, a venture capital firm with a focus on IT, business services, and healthcare. Earlier in his career, Ray spent close to a decade in management consulting and banking with Deloitte Consulting, Price Waterhouse Consulting, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. 

Ray holds a B.A. from Cornell University, a B.S. from Rutgers University, and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Columbia Business School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
